The girls volleyball team crushed it at their first preseason games against El Modena last Tuesday.

“Our team looked solid, and a lot of the girls have had past experience,” frosh-soph player Kara Lininger (’16) said. “We’re excited to have a great season with [the] new coaches.”

The JV team had a rocky start with rotation mix-ups, but they soon wrapped up the match in a little over an hour.

Varsity won 3-0, with 25-16, 25-22, and 25-19 victories.

“I think that the game turned out very well. I was quite excited because it was the first home game and it was pretty exciting to watch. The crowd really got into it,” said varsity player Sutton Fryslie (’15).

“Overall, the school spirit that everybody showed helped the Frosh/Soph Gold team to be more pumped up and we led the team to our first win,” An Hoang (’16) said.

The lady Barons will be playing Tuesday, Sept. 17, against Gahr High School in our home gym.
