Deciding which restaurant to go to before prom isn’t difficult when Orange County has some of the best food places in Southern California. Many students are choosing nice restaurants that are still within budget.
Located in Costa Mesa, Habana has a four-star rating on Yelp and specializes in Cuban food. Although it doesn’t thrive in variety, the food served is exceptionally good. They specialize in the skirt steak which is so tender juicy and flavorful.
Amanda Stark (’14) is going to Baci, an Italian restaurant in Huntington Beach that has a romantic atmosphere with live music on the weekends. “[We are] going there because it seats a large number of people and it has really good food.”
Another restaurant to go before prom is Maggiano’s Little Italy in Costa Mesa. With a variety of delicious appetizers, main dishes, and desserts, this is restaurant has everything for a perfect prom. Although a little higher in price, some may find the extra dollars worth it.
“I think it’s pretty nice to go out and spend time with friends and pay a little more for that fancy dinner,” said Stephen Le (’14), who is going to Maggiano’s before the dance. “Prom is a pretty special occasion.”
