With bustling students and loud screams during lunchtime, the three day event, Club Rush took over the school once again. During this annual event, 50 clubs advertise for the purpose of attracting new members, while students can learn about clubs on campus.

“You get to experience new clubs that you never knew existed,” said Priscilla Phan (‘15).

The event consists of students walking around the bowl and signing up for new clubs. Most sign up by writing their email and other information, which opens up an opportunity for the students to become members of the club. There is a huge variety of clubs, not just academic related but also support interests in arts or volunteering.

Some of these clubs fundraise and donate to help their cause or interest. The American Heart Association, for example, raises money to donate to the research of cardiovascular diseases. While, the Fashion Club fosters students into a career in fashion or design. Joining clubs give people opportunities to encourage others, meet new people, find and expand interests and help people in need.

“[I’m] looking forward to exploring my options with the new clubs and meeting new opportunities to join other clubs,” said a board member of Medical Society, Michelle Doan (‘15).

Many people who have joined clubs encourage others to. They believe that it helps the student become more involved with school and prepare them for future happenings.
