Morning announcements for Friday, June 5th, 2015:   

Congratulations to the following baseball players: Travis Burleson was named Sunset League Rookie of the year, JT Navarro (1st team all league), Pierson Loska, Willie Aguilar, and Justin Cobb (2nd team all league). JT Navarro was also a first team all county selection. On Monday June 8th, JT Navarro and Justin Cobb will be representing Fountain Valley HS in the Kiwanis North vs South All star game at Dee Fee Field (Glover Stadium) at 630pm. It’s the most prestigious all star game for orange county. Also, on Saturday, June 13th, Pierson Loska, Hunter Margain, Justin Cobb and JT Navarro will be playing in the Sunset League versus Trinity League all star game at 430 at Windrow Park.

Attention all Barons: Monday is the last day of Homework Club due to the minimum day schedule next week, Homework Club will be canceled Tuesday-Friday

Attention all students interested in taking AP Chem next year!  We are having a mandatory information meeting at lunch in room 225 on Monday, June 8th.  If you want to take AP Chem next year you must attend this meeting.

Are you looking for a job in the summer? Starbucks and the Youth Employment Service are teaming up to host an employment skills workshop on Tuesday, June 9th from 4-6pm. The city of Anaheim and Orange County will be hosting a job fairWednesday June 17th from 10am-3pm. Come by the career center for more information.”

Attention all student enrolled or interested in AP 3-D next year.  There is a mandatory meeting Monday at lunch in Mrs. Jones room 240.  We will explain next years work and assign summer projects.  If you are unable to attend stop by room 240 to talk to Mrs. Jones. See you then.

“Attention all sophomores taking APUSH next year.  There will be a Mandatory

meeting Monday, June 8 at 3 PM in the Social Studies Bowl.  This quickinformational meeting will be about the summer assignment and the course expectations.  Again, this meeting is mandatory.  If you cannot attend this meeting, it is your responsibility to contact Mr. Nelson before the end of the school year.  See you at 3!

Class of 2015, buy you presale ticket early for the Senior Breakfast.  Come out onMonday June 8th for the annual Senior breakfast from 9 am to 11 am. Senior Commission will be serving eggs, hash browns, sausage, and pancakes. Hangout one last time with your classmates before Graduation…Presale tickets will be sold this week at the Financial Office for $3 and $5 at the door if we don’t sell out!  Get yours today!

FVHS Seniors you are all cordially invited to attend the Baccalaureate Ceremony on Sunday June 7, 2015 in the FVHS Bowl at 4pm. All family and friends are welcome to attend this event. Students must wear their cap and gown. Cake and punch will be served immediately following the ceremony.

Attention Class of 2016, beginning with the Fall semester of 2015, Fountain Valley High School will offering a Pharmacy Tech class on our campus.  If you are interested in taking this class see Ms Sanders in the Career Center.

The VERY LAST Saturday School is tomorrow.  Our tardy and detention policy is changing next year.  Get cleared NOW!

As a reminder, you must have a permit to park on campus.  You may only park in the lot designated by your parking permit.  Any vehicle parked without a permit or in the wrong lot through the end of the school year will be ticketed.

If you purchased a yearbook or a Super Baron and haven’t picked up your yearbook yet, you can get it today at lunch at the Activities Office.

You must bring a copy of your transcript printout from Aeries with you to the meeting. The summer reading assignment will be given out. Please do not be late.

Attention all 9th, 10th and 11th grade students, in your English class this week, you will be receiving an information packet for your parents to complete Aeries online registration this summer.   Your parents must have their own Aeries Portal Account to update your information; they cannot use your Aeries student account.  All students must be registered through Aeries in order to attend FVHS next year.  For more detailed information, visit the Guidance page at FVHS.com under “Academics”

Morning announcements for Wednesday, June 3rd, 2015:   

Hey Barons, are you ready for some Football?  FV Football will be having their Spring Game today on the back Football Practice Field.  But before your Barons take the field, watch your Senior Girls take on the Junior Girls in a Powder Puff Game.  There will be food trucks and a ping pong ball drop.  Come out to the back football field at 4:00pm

Would you like to win $1000.00?  Buy a Ping Pong Ball for $10.00 today at lunch outside the Activities Office and after the Spring Game today, they will be dropping all the balls for your chance to win $1000.00.  Other prizes will be awarded as well.

3) Return completed cards to cafeteria beginning at 1:00pm to pick up cap and gown.

The FVHS Improv team invites you to end the year with a flurry of laughter with their final Improv comedy show.  Improv is acting without a script. Our Improv team will create hilarious situations from their minds based on suggestions from the audience. Tickets are $3 for students and $5 for adults at the door in theatre room 309. Are you interested in playing for a highly competitive high school team within the Anaheim Ducks High School League? Edison High School and Head Coach Joe Burcar are currently forming the 2015-16 Varsity and JV teams and it is open to Fountain Valley athletes. Contact the team on their Facebook page at EHS Ice Hockey for try-out information.

Morning announcements for Monday, June 1st, 2015:   

Congratulations to the dancing with stars winners!!  Top judges score went to Mrs. Vivar and Kent Swift.  Top fan favorite was Mr. Yarnton and Chloe Garibay and best choreography/ highest difficulty went to Mr. Doane and Anna Loeffelman!! Congratulations to all performers and thank you again to all teachers that performed and donated their time to the football and dance team programs.

SENIORS, It’s time to order your final transcript for college, including Common App.
