The annual Ping Pong Tournament has started, and sign-ups are on Nov. 14 through Nov. 16. The ping pong bracket will be posted on Nov. 18, and the tournament will take place in the gym from Nov. 30 through Dec. 9.

Last year, Eric Dalton (‘18)  won the Ping Pong Tournament and Jonathan Nguyen (‘19) followed up in second. In an interview, Nguyen said that “win, lose, or draw, being a part of the tournament was a very fun experience.”

Nguyen plans on participating in the tournament again this year; he enjoys the competition. He only does this as a hobby, not competitively in a league. His dad has helped him enhance his ping-pong skills.

Some teachers that will be participating in the tournament include math teacher Thomas Ngo, Japanese teacher Aso Katashima and Spanish teacher Todd Yarnton.

There are four rounds in the tournament: qualifying, quarterfinals, semifinals and finals. Each round is an elimination round, which means that winners move on while those who lost are out of the tournament.

Winners will receive medals.
