Brea Christmas Lights Neighborhood |
2970 Primrose Ave, Brea, CA 92821

The Brea Neighborhood is covered almost entirely in lights. You can chose to walk or drive around the neighborhood. Since the weather can drop to fifty degrees, make sure to wear warm clothing if you plan on walking around. Traffic can be a pain as everyone wants to stay in their cars. The best way to enjoy the view is to embrace the cold and walk. There will be houses selling hot chocolate and playing music. The lights are on from 5 to 10 p.m. and starting around 9:30 p.m. some houses start to turn their lights off. Overall, the Brea Neighborhood is perfect for all regardless of their age.

The Mission Inn of Riverside is decorated with more than four million lights. All over the city, vendors will be selling all sorts of goods. The vendors will be selling their specialties and some will be selling lighted up items. While you’re at it, you can also purchase a ticket to ride in the carriage that looks like something out of a fairytale. They also have a vintage carousel which makes a great picture opportunity. The weather is extremely cold, so prepare to bundle up. The lights are ib from 5 to 11 p.m. Although Riverside is a bit far, the view is worth the drive..

Christmas Tract

Located locally in Fountain Valley, these lights are nearby and offer a sense of community Christmas spirit. Photo by Olivia Krueger.

Shadbush Street, Dahlia Circle and Dandelion Circle, Fountain Valley

These three festive streets make up what is now called the Christmas Tract. This tradition causes the residents to get more elaborate each year, almost as a friendly competition. Going all out when decorating for Christmas attracts thousands of people annually to wander the neighborhood and marvel at the lights. This neighborhood is very local and is accessible by car or on foot.
