Caitlin Pham first joined Baron Banner in hopes of improving and expanding on her writing skills. However, she never would have imagined that she would be here now, two years later, as the Editor-in-Chief of a class filled with ambitious student journalists much like her.
Though she entered the class as a shy sophomore that didn’t crave being in the limelight, she soon fell in love with the fast-paced nature of journalism and her communication skills, both written and oral, strengthened as a result of this newfound passion. She became actively involved in Baron Banner as a staff writer her first year and then became a News Editor the following year. Not only does she love covering exciting news story but she also loves being able to help her fellow staff members grow as journalists.
When she’s not editing articles and running the class, she can be found watching plays for Cappies where she is the Lead Critic, organizing math activities for Math Olympiad as the Co-Vice President, attending leadership conferences for the Future Business Leaders of America where she is the secretary, or studying for Academic Decathlon.
On top of that, Caitlin volunteers some of her free time to other organizations while still maintaining balance in her school work and social life. In whatever free time she has left, she likes to cook or go shopping aka retail therapy as she calls it.
With such an insane schedule, it’s no surprise that she is an obsessive coffee drinker. She even claims that coffee is her life source.
