Ten senior boys of Fountain Valley High School are gearing up for the third annual Mr. Baron pageant.

The pageant tests the contestants’ ability to model both formal and creative wear, as well as swimsuits. The contestants must also show off a talent and participate in a Q&A session.

“Mr. Baron is, above all else, being you,” said Christian Tejeda (’13). “It’s showing what represents you and what you love to do while being comfortable and confident in your own skin.”

“I just want to share a part of my world and express how being a Baron has shaped my life and aspirations through the whole journey,” Tejeda said.

The pageant is hosted annually by ASB.

“We started preparing a lot earlier than last year, and we have a better understanding of what went wrong last year to make this year’s better,” said Activities Commissioner Quantin Pham (’13).

“We have some stuff in store for Mr. Baron that I think will be pretty funny, but I think it’s better it remains a secret…you’ll have to come and see,” Pham hinted.

Admission is $3 with SB/ASB and $5 without. The Real Barons of Fountain Valley pageant will begin at 7 p.m. this Friday in the gym.
