As a tough season continues, girls varsity golf played well the last few matches.

With four wins and six losses, the lady barons continuously push themselves to improve in every game.

The team pushes their improvement by collaborating and communicating as a whole.

With close losses against Marina, Edison, Los Alamitos, and Huntington the girls have worked longer and harder to improve. They also continue their hard practice to close the winning versus losing gap.

“It just so happens that we are in one of the toughest leagues in Orange County,” head coach Carter Keyser said.

Varsity captain Lilia Vu (’15) proves to be a great player for the lady barons golf team. Consistently playing matches with scores in the low to mid 30s, Vu shows her strength with golf in every match that’s played.

Vu not only works hard at her skills but loves the team as well saying she enjoys talking to her friends on the team and they bond well.

The girls are able to continue along a good path despite the aggressive competition in the OC.

“I love getting more experience every time we’re on the courses. Hanging out, learning more, and talking to coach is great as well,” Emily Bui (’16) said.

Pushing into the future, the girls seem to be aiming quite high and doing well for the intense season that has come about this year.

“I love my team!” Vivienne Nguyen (’15)  said.
