“A heart of passion,” is how you could describe senior Jenny Tran, as she runs to lead Baron Banner as editor-in-chief to a great year of success.

Every morning you can expect her to go into the Baron Newsroom with a smile. She’s just as excited announcing what the week ahead holds, as when she’s watching “Georgenotfound”.

She always manages to crack a joke and uplift the mood of the room every day. Setting everyone up for a beautiful day ahead and setting a model for people to look up to.

Reading is a big and longstanding part of her life, and this love for reading carries over into her writing. She hopes one day to publish a romance novel similar to her enjoyment of the genre to create a lovesick feeling in your heart.

“I’ve always loved writing. Ever since I knew how to read, I’ve loved writing,” Tran said.

Now as one of the editors-in-chief, she’s looking forward to an awesome and amazing year by motivating everyone on the daily. With the help of everyone on the team, this will become a reality.

Her goals this year are to “survive,” and thrive in her classes. When she’s not writing, she’s staying on top, of her other extracurriculars such as being treasurer for the Sealeaf club and especially running.

One of her favorite pastimes besides writing is riding her runner’s high. She’s been a part of the Fountain Valley High School’s cross-country team for four years now. Running is one way she relieves the stress of senior year.

Reading and writing also act as a way to relieve stress. They are like her teddy bear something to always confide in and to display her creativity.

“[In] Baron Banner, you can literally write about anything, and I like that I can really express myself through what I write,” Tran said.

Her passions in life are all connected through her love of reading and writing. It’s seen in her commitment to Baron Banner as Editor in chief, and carrying that through in her day-to-day life. She is grateful to be given the opportunity to display her art to a bigger audience through Baron Banner.
