Caroline Ngo: Co Photo Manager

Caroline Ngo

As a photographer in Baron Banner, it is apparent that senior Caroline Ngo has a passion for capturing people living life in the moment, but she also balances it with preparing for future success.

Ngo is hardworking and studious. Although her future career path is not certain, currently, Ngo is inspired by her experiences and looks to study anesthesiology.

“I’m thinking of doing something in the medical field right now. As of now, I’m interested in anesthesiology. Just because I’ve had some surgeries in the past and my anesthesiologist was really nice to me and I wanted to replicate that for future patients,” Ngo said.

Ngo expresses the pressure she feels to succeed in life, being raised by her immigrant mother who emphasized hard work and dedication. However, Caroline also believes that she should try to live her life to the fullest.

“I feel like I stress too much about the small things, and I think it’s better if I enjoy life.”

That’s why Ngo loves the idea of preserving important memories through her photography.

“I like how I can trap time in the present because when you think about it, you can’t really take screenshots of the past or you can’t go back in time,” Ngo said. “And so what I like about photography is that I can capture moments that I can look back on and reminisce.”

And aside from her studies, Ngo often creates Pinterest posts as a way to express herself. She also enjoys reading fantasy and action books, listening to music and watching K-dramas and other movies.

Now, Ngo’s focus for senior year is to maintain her grades but to also have fun. Overall, from Ngo’s experience during her years in high school, she has one last piece of advice for FVHS students.

“I say just enjoy it because it goes by really fast. But also, [at] least try a little bit in classes and stuff so you have a foundation to when you go to college.”
