With their winter concert fast approaching, the FVHS choirs have spent countless hours preparing for what promises to be a truly memorable event.
“We practice every day during the period, beginning to the end. We’re also squeezing in lunch time rehearsals all this week and next week,” said Emerald Nguyen (’15), choir board president.
Since the choirs returned from Thanksgiving break, they have been polishing up songs and dances for the concert. There is no end to the amount of time and energy that goes into the shows.
“There has been a lot of hard work from all of us students and especially Mr. Tison,” said Zury Ramirez (’15), a member of the Troubadours.
Choir did not put on a fall concert this year, giving the students more time to perfect their many songs.
“Since we didn’t have a fall concert, our choir was able to start with the Holiday music immediately,” Manuel Santiago (’15), a member of the Troubadors, stated. “This gave us more time to
sharpen and fine tune any musical points we want to showcase at the concert for everyone to hear.”
While the choirs are busy polishing their music, Mr. Tison and a group of dedicated parent volunteers work tirelessly to put on a concert that they believe will blow the audience away.
