It’s game one and Morgan Bilbruck is the first to serve. She coolly looks at the ball and puts her eyes back on the court. For the 5 points our girls keep toe-to-toe with Huntington Beach; however, Huntington Beach decides to show no mercy and snatch any hopes of victory from our Lady Barons. They were decimated with a score of 9-25.
In the second and third match, the results are the same. Huntington Beach is merciless and completely annihilates our girls. Despite some good kills by Summer McCelland (’12), Nathalie Berardino (’11), and Laney Ehelers (’11), it wasn’t enough to get their spirit up to get back at HB. Sadly enough, our girls lost three straight games in a row, with the second and third match both ending with a score or 13-25.
