At approximately 2:15 p.m. today a Fountain Valley High School water polo player fell and injured his head.
According to reports, the water polo player and at least one other student were running around and playing on the pool deck. Wet and slippery conditions contributed to the accident.
Emergency personnel from the city of Fountain Valley responded to accident and treated the injured student in the nurses office. The student was then transported to a local hospital.
