The Aloha Dance: A Night to Remember

The Aloha Dance, an annual dance to welcome incoming freshmen, turned out to be a success the night of Friday, September 7th.

The doors opened at 7:00 pm and the gym was soon crowded with an endless number of students. The DJ played great music to pump up the mood, even the all famous Gangnam Style by the Korean popstar, PSY.

The dance also included the Hula Girls Hawaiian Shaved Ice, which was available in an abundance of flavors ranging from original strawberry to tiger blood. A photo booth was provided to take memorable pictures with a colorful backdrop, thanks to chief photographer Tue Duong (’14).

Alex Le (‘13) explained his first dance experience: “It’s going great, I enjoy this dance. I wish I’ve gone to more dances.”

Alan Nguyen (‘14) complimented the DJ for playing a specific song. “When the Gangman [sic] song came up, I just wanted to go all over the place.”

For anyone who hasn’t been to the Aloha Dance yet, anticipate on attending once a year dance to show our freshmen how FVHS students celebrate the new school year.
