On Tuesday, October 2, FV girls tennis played against the Huntington Beach Oilers in a close match.
Although the Barons had already played the Oilers once this season, every player felt ready to change the score line. However, in the end, the girls’ scores equaled, losing 7-11 both times.
The No. 1 singles player for FV who won all of her matches, Demi Dang (‘14), says, “We all played hard. In the beginning, it looked like we might have pulled out a win, but eventually I had to just relax and appreciate that everyone was participating and having a good time. Of course the loss is disappointing, but all we are doing is working towards improving our team for next year.”
The Baron girls will play against Rosary in a pre-season match on Wednesday, October 13, at the FVHS tennis courts.
