FV Compliments: A force of good

You’re having a horrible day. Nobody listens to a word you say, your parents are yelling at you for not keeping up with your schoolwork, your dog tried to gnaw at your socks, and the only thing you have in your fridge is kale because your mother saw something  on Dr. Oz last week about kale being “great.”

Today, you’re a mess.  It seems like no one cares.

Little do you know, someone does.

You log into Facebook and with fifty likes, you see a status which reads: “Hey (You),  cheer up! You’re a great person and an even better friend.  Things are bound to get better for you since you are so very talented.  You just need to realize that there is greatness in your near future.”

You can feel a subtle smile creep onto your solemn face.  Your bad day has turned into a great day.

This scenario is what makes Fountain Valley Compliments such an ingeniously positive force for good.  It is easy to get bogged down by the negativeness of high school, but Fountain Valley Compliments is working to put an end to that mindset. This Facebook page provides a forum to boost moods and turn bad days into great ones.  Who doesn’t want that?

  1. I’m so glad that Baron News covered this. I think it’s a fascinating phenomenon. However, I’d have liked to seen a counterpoint/juxtaposition with FVHS Confessions, which has a more “questionable? presence/effect than FV Compliments.

    Oh, and great writing Tiffany.
