On Tuesday, January 15, Varsity Girls Soccer played Edison High School and lost 0-3, in a frustrating game.

At the start of the game, both teams faced off and gave it their all, making for a tight match as the ball traveled up and down the field with most shots taken on the Baron goal. By half time, the score was 0-2 in favor of the Chargers.

Edison proved determined not to lose – a loss would result in losing their second place standing in league – and within minutes of the start of the second half, managed another goal past goalkeeper, Kaelyn Whitcomb (’16).

With neither team able to put the ball in the net again, the game ended in a loss for the Barons.

Midfielder Kiana Dinsmore (’15) said, “We have practiced for several hours to beat our rivals, but it only means that we have to work harder during those hours to improve and beat Edison on their home field.”

The next game for Girls Soccer is on Thursday at Marina High School.
