Boys volleyball loses a heavy match against Huntington Beach

Barons suffered a loss against Huntington Beach High School on Tuesday night. The ball landed behind them and barely pushed the win away from FVHS with the third game ending 25-27.

In the first game, the boys had a lackluster performance against the Oilers. The ball kept evading our players despite numerous attempts to save and play the ball.

It was during the second match where are boys started getting their act together and comeback. The team was starting to communicate better and that resulted in a higher amount of points than in the previous match.

Unfortunately, despite a formidable fight with both sides on their toes, the game ended 25-27 in Huntington Beach’s favor.

Ready to fight back, in game three, the boys determined to push themselves and beat the Oilers. With the crowd cheering them on, the Barons were on their guard and attacked the ball with burning determination.

Despite an impressive fight, a Baron victory was snatched away with a 25-27 with the Oilers sneaking barely there serves and questionable line boundary hits. In the end the Barons lost 0-3.

The next home game for boys volleyball will be against Newport Harbor, April 18 at 5:30 p.m.
