Tennis continues its winning streak

Boys tennis once again beat Huntington Beach in a not-so-close match of 15-3. After losing only one match this season, the Barons are headed for a Sunset League Championship.

Following a tough loss 8-10 against Los Alamitos a few weeks ago, the boys have started training and working harder than ever to bring home a title for FVHS.

“It would be the best thing for the team and for the school if we won first place in league,” said player Nico Caman (’14), who won all three of his matches this past Tuesday.

And of course, with such a strong team, the Barons are looking for bigger and better successes in the near future. “If we are Sunset League champions, we’ll have a good chance at CIF,” says Caman, “which is our ultimate goal.”

The next tennis match will be versus rival Los Alamitos on Monday at 3 PM, so come out and support the Barons.
