The Barons defeated Huntington at the Think Pink game Oct. 18 with a score of 19-14.

The Barons took charge in the first quarter, leaving the score 7-0. The boys stuck to the defensive play laid out and played a strong defense against Huntington.

Barons kept the Oilers at bay, refusing to let them score. Huntington fought back, but the score favored the Barons, 7-0, as the ball moved back and forth. By half time, the barons remained in the lead with 7-0. Half time was followed by a first full performance by Fountain Valley’s Royal Regiment, sending the pink crowd into a craze.

At the end of the third quarter, Barons had the score at 16-8. Despite several injuries throughout the game, the team fought long and hard to keep the score in their favor.

“I think we had a good week of practice,” said quarterback Chad Olberding (’16).

The Barons maintained a strong lead through the entire game, and wrapped it up with a final score of 19-14.

The bleachers that night were full and bright with pink as students and family packed in to support the team and the cause. The pink was powerful and ASB kept the crowd pumped until the end.
