The BBN Haunt, which premiered Oct. 18, showed its finale Oct. 30 to students during SSR.

In the clip, a ghost in the Haunted Hundred Halls terrorizes several students as they monitor the increasingly paranormal activity in the hallway.

While there was no Halloween special last year, BBN producer Kris Nguyen (’15) wanted to bring back the haunted past of the hundred halls. Several components of the episode were kept as private as possible, such as the use of Snapchat as a key element of the plot and the splitting of the episode into two parts.

Students such as Katherine Hoang (’17) enjoyed the Snapchat element of the episode, feeling that it added a modern twist or more suspense. “I really liked it,” stated Hoang. “It was really clever because the picture would disappear and there wasn’t any evidence of the ghost.”

The episode was split into two parts not only to create a cliffhanger, but also due to time constraints to prevent the episode from being too long.

However, this confused several students like Carolyn Nguyen (’15) who said, “I forgot what happened in the first part when the second part was shown.”

For the most part, students praised the clip. “It was very entertaining; my whole class liked it too,” stated Kevin Takeda (’16).

Because BBN did not film the Halloween special clip last year, students who remember the episode from two years ago were even more excited, like Melissa Cruz (’15)who said, “Last year we didn’t even get a Halloween episode so it was nice to see something like this.
