Valentine’s Day has arrived and it’s time to celebrate.

Love is in the air and Valentine is here. It’s Feb. 14, which means it’s time to show your love and appreciation for those around you, and FVHS students have various ways to show it.

Many students are planning to bake some sweets and spend some time with their family and friends.

“I’m baking cake pops Valentine’s day [and] I’ m spending [it] with my friends and family because those are the people that I love the most in my life,” said David Vo (’16).

Jessica Dang (’16) is also planning to bake. “I’m thinking of baking red velvet cupcakes and I’ll be going to a party.”

For Julie Dang (’16), this is the time to spend a little alone time with her special someone and have a nice dinner with a Disney movie after.

“[I plan on] going to a candle lit dinner in the back of a truck [while] watching the stars glitter in San Diego. I might go to the aquarium, maybe the zoo. I might go watch the Frozen sing along with him too.”

For those who are still single, they are planning on taking the opportunity to ask the one they had their eye on.

“At first I just wasn’t going to do anything. It was just gonna be another day of ice cream and [League of Legends],” said Preston Nguyen (’16). “But this girl has been on my mind lately and she goes to another school so I guess I’ll just go to her school with flowers and hope for the best.”

Whether you’re single or taken, Valentine’s Day is a special day when you show some love to the ones that are close to your heart.
