Choir teacher and director, Kevin Tison, led all of the FVHS choir in a spring showcase, where he also honored his senior singers, at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1.

Tison was aided by Jessica Cheng, the assistant director, to put on the showcase featuring all choir members and highlighting their hard work for the concert.

“It was bittersweet being that it was my last formal concert. It didn’t really hit me until the end,” said Roxanne Watson(’15) , a Concert Choir member and one of the seniors honored that night.

Towards the middle, Tison paused the concert to honor the seniors who have participated in the choir program for just this year or for the past several years. He gave a speech honoring every senior in the program and proceeded to call each student up one at a time.

“It is truly exciting to continue to see these young people grow up,” said Tison during a speech he gave to honor the seniors.

The night ended with Concert Choir singing various spring songs that led to a complete standing ovation from the audience.
