Need some ideas for the Christmas season slowly approaching? Here are some cute DIY gifts and food items for this wonderful time of the year.

The first project is a snowman mason jar filled with white chocolate pretzels, perfect as a gift or even home decor.

Materials:

  • a mason jar
  • white chocolate pretzels
  • red fabric or ribbon
  • buttons
  • and glue.

First, lay the mason jar on a flat surface. Then, glue as many buttons as you want onto the jar. It will need to remain flat on the table for about 30 minutes for the glue to dry. Once the glue has dried, fill the mason jar with white chocolate pretzels to mimic the exterior of a snowman. Lastly, tie some red ribbon or fabric around the neck of the mason jar for its scarf.

The second project is a Frozen themed ornament.

Materials:

  • a clear ornament
  • sticker letters
  • string
  • white glitter or fake snow
  • small plastic gloves, carrot nose, and buttons.

To begin with, you will need to place the letters onto the ornament. The particular quote used for this DIY is “Some people are worth melting for.” Next, over a paper plate, carefully add the fake snow into the ornament and fill it about ⅓  of the way.

Then, drop in the plastic gloves, carrot nose, and buttons. In order to move the parts into an orderly position, you will need to stick a pencil or chopsticks into the opening of the ornament to appropriately position the objects to resemble a melted snowman. This part is tricky and will require some patience. Once this has been completed, carefully screw the lid onto the ornament and tie string to the top to be hung on your Christmas tree.

The last project is white hot chocolate.

Materials:

  • your favorite mug
  • 2 oz white chocolate chips
  • ½  teaspoon of peppermint extract (to taste)
  • one cup of your preferred milk
  • a medium saucepan
  • whip cream
  • peppermint candy.

Begin by adding the white chocolate chips, peppermint extract, and milk in a medium saucepan. Stir the chocolate chips and milk over medium heat for about 8-10 minutes. While this is heating up, crush some candy canes or peppermints to garnish afterward. Once all the chocolate chips have fully melted, pour the drink into your mug. Top with whipped cream and sprinkle over the crushed peppermint candy.
