On Sunday, the Fountain Valley High School Dance Team put on their annual Winter Show where they executed all of the dances they performed at events throughout the year and as well as sneak peaks of their competition dances for the upcoming season.

The show started off with the team performing their dance from the Homecoming Assembly.

Performances of competition pieces from Small Hip Hop, Junior Varsity Lyrical, Varsity Lyrical, and Medium Hip Hop followed, with host and Dance Team Advisor, Jennifer Allen, introducing each piece.

Also spread out through the whole show were solos from Anna Loeffelman (‘16), Macy Hoeft (‘19), Paige Schultz (‘16) and Monet Favreau (‘17).

After the seventh performance by Medium Hip Hop, the dancers took a brief intermission, and the audience was allowed to come down to the floor and buy dance team merchandise and gear. Dancers were also able to come out and greet their family and friends.

Following intermission, assembly-only Hip Hop and Large Hip Hop presented their competition pieces. The dance team also brought back their dance from the Glow Show assembly. Tricia Tran (‘18) gave the show a unique twist when she sang.

Next, a character dance where the theme of magicians was featured. The Lady Barons proceeded to show the audience their magic tricks by splitting Loeffelman in half.

The show finished off with the holiday finale where the dancers were split into small groups and performed one minute dances to Christmas songs. The show ended with the entire team coming together to perform to the music of “Let it Snow”.
