With the new semester giving students a fresh new start, there are a variety of activities taking place all around campus. Here are five of those activities that you wouldn’t want to miss throughout the week.

Tonight, Tuesday, Girls’ Varsity Basketball plays Huntington Beach High School (HBHS) at home game, so come cheer on our girls as they fight hard against HBHS. The game begins at 7 p.m. They play again Thursday night against Newport Harbor.

Also in the sports category, Boys’ Soccer goes up against HBHS on Wednesday. Varsity, Junior Varsity (JV) and Frosh/Soph will be playing, so come support our players as they fight for a victory for the Barons.

On Thursday, students have a chance to support FVHS’ own Baron Banner. Baron Banner is having a Souplantation fundraiser from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. 15% of the proceeds for the night will go back to funding the award winning journalism class. It will be hosted at 11179 Talbert Ave., so please invite your friends and family and enjoy a good meal that will truly give back.

Finally, on Friday, we have the Winter Assembly that will showcase the many wonderful sports we have here at FVHS. We’re getting pepped up for this new sports season, so make sure to yell loudly, Barons.

Also, Boys’ Soccer play again, this time against Newport High School. JV, Frosh/Soph and Varsity will all be playing, so shout loud and proud for the boys as they work together to beat Newport.

Over the weekend you will be either celebrating your grades, or looking for a way to drown your sorrows. Why not drown them in donuts? A couple new donut places that have popped up in FV, both are sure to cater to any sweet tooth. U Jelly is located at 16051 Brookhurst St. and Crafted Donuts is located at 18011 Newhope St. Looks like both places are getting good reviews on Yelp—go try them out for yourself . Grab a donut and hang out with some friends
