Three acts discuss their performance and thoughts before the annual Friday Night Live’s (FNL) Talent Show this Friday.

Bree Lee (’16), Tommy Nguyen (’17), and Melodie Tran (’17) will perform a self-choreographed dance piece that is upbeat, entertaining, and even comedic. The trio decided to try out for the talent show to have fun and to just be with each other. They have been practicing for a month now and hope the audience will gain a greater appreciation for dance upon watching their performance.

Dylan Nguyen (’17) and Tricia Tran (’18) will be singing an emotional duet to the song ‘Say Something’. This is Tran’s second time performing in the talent show, and her first time singing a duet. Nguyen and Tran have been rehearsing for about one to two months in order to perfect the emotional aspect of their performance.

“I hope the audience will understand the emotion behind our performance and connect it somehow,” said Tran (’18). “Maybe we could even get a few tears from the audience.”

Kelly Truong (’18) will be presenting a live concert using her favorite song that she remixed by adding her own touch to it. Truong has been practicing for almost over a month and is constantly trying to make her song better. She thinks a lot of people will be surprised over the uniqueness of her act, but she hopes they enjoy her music as much as she loves making it.

Attend FNL’s Talent Show this Friday in the gym at 6:30 pm for $7 to see these and many other talented acts perform!
