Students let loose at annual Aloha Dance

Fountain Valley High School students started school off with music, snow cones and friends at the 2016 Aloha dance.

Hundreds of students packed into the gym with their friends to dance the night away. For students who were taking a break from dancing and music, photographer Chris Van Lieshout (‘17) manned the photobooth while Kona Ice served snow cones to a long line of students.

A few things changed for this year’s dance: the Associated Student Body (ASB) implemented a bag check in station for students, a Link Crew special price was applied and Lieshout added a selfie booth using a ring light.

“The turnout this year was a lot more than I remembered from last year, though that could just be me. At first, the constant strobes lights made the dance kind of overbearing, but once it stopped, the dance became a lot more fun,” said ASB Secretary Cody Do (’18).
