Boys Cross Country:
Despite their best efforts, boys cross country finished 4th in league. Marc Tadros (‘18), Amogha Dahal (’17), Kevin Zimmerle (’19), Tanner Grohmann (’18) and Nico Barber (’18) were top finishers.

Boys Water Polo:
Throughout the season, the team had trouble adjusting to new coaches and players. Although the Barons’ high hopes for the season, they fell short and finished with a 1-4 record. The boys were determined, giving their best efforts in every game and plan on carrying that same mentality next year.

Football:
Coming into the season with a new head coach, varsity football finished the season with an underwhelming record of 1-10. In week six, the team fought hard and was able to beat Mira Mesa High School for their first win of the season. Defense allowed 30 or more points in 10 games and scored 14 or less points in eight games. Thought to be as a “rebuilding” year, the Barons will work for better outcomes for the 2017-18 season.

Girls Cross Country:
Girls cross country finished the season with an amazing win in Sunset League. They ran as a pack and finished from 4th-8th place. Because of this, they will be able to compete in CIF. The spring track season appears promising as cross country dominating the distance portion.

Girls Field Hockey:
Girls field hockey ended the season with 1 win, 13 losses and 1 tie. Key players from the season are Sophia Rivera (‘17), Cameron Pettus (‘17) and Sophie Bryant (‘18). The team is proud of their efforts, but hopes to return next season stronger.

Girls Golf:
Girl’s golf has done their best they’ve ever had in five years. They tied in 3rd place with Marina in Sunset League and qualified for CIF. Misty Le (‘20) was able to compete up to the second day for CIF, but lost by one stroke.

Girls Tennis:
Varsity girls tennis had an outstanding season with an impressive 8-2 record, only losing to Newport Harbor High School and Los Alamitos High School. Although they had a bumpy road during pre-season, the Lady Barons were able to come together in the end to place 2nd in Sunset League, falling short to Los Alamitos High School.

Girls Volleyball:
The girl’s volleyball team ended their season with a record of 4-7, a huge step up from last year. They beat Newport Harbor High School, which had not been beat by the Lady Barons for 10 years.
