Last Friday, a Fountain Valley High School student was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon at Edison High School around 6 p.m.

The student suspect is currently in custody at Orange County Central Men’s Jail. His bail was initially set at $25,000, but was recently raised to $500,000. His next court appearance date was on March 13 and is expected to be arraigned April 6.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the student suspect was seen rollerblading on Edison High School at 21400 Magnolia St. between 5 and 6 p.m. after school.

Police allege that he skated past a teenage girl and stabbed her in the back with a knife. The injured student was taken to the hospital with serious injuries but remains in stable condition.

The student is also accused of skated up to another teenage girl on campus and sexually assaulted her. Officials believe that on Feb. 28, the student was rollerblading and sexually assaulted a 39-year-old woman walking near a parking lot on Atlanta Ave.

He is charged three felonies; one count of assault with a deadly weapon, one count of sexual penetration by a foreign object and one count of mayhem.

On Monday morning, Dr. Morgan Smith informed staff members of the incident in an email, in which he said, “we will continue to support the Huntington Beach Police Department for further details and next steps.  This incident remains under investigation,” said Smith.

Baron Banner first learned of the assault on Twitter on Saturday night, but the paper withheld publishing the story until details could be confirmed. We will update the story as it develops.
