From preparing protein packets to serving students their lunch, Martin Jiménez does it all in the Fountain Valley High School (FVHS) cafeteria.

Jiménez is one of the skilled adult workers in the cafeteria who ensures that each and every Baron gets their lunch in a timely manner, full of nutritional value. He has been working in the cafeteria since the beginning of the school year and has enjoyed every minute of it ever since.

Jiménez was recommended to work in the cafeteria by his friends and peers who already work in the district. From what Jiménez heard, FVHS seemed like a school with a friendly environment. It was then when he made the decision to work in the FVHS cafeteria.

“I never thought that I would end up working in a school cafeteria, but, when I heard about the job opening, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity. I’ve heard great things about FVHS, and I’m glad to say that they are true,” said Jiménez.

Jiménez has really enjoyed working in the cafeteria and has grown to love his coworkers, both the adult and student workers.

Out of all of Jiménez’s favorite things about working in the cafeteria, his most favorite is the social environment at FVHS.

“[My favorite part of working in the cafeteria is] just how everyone gets along and how close everyone is. The students are friendly and respectful, and, overall, the cafeteria is a great place to work at, even if it was only for a little while,” said Jiménez.

Jiménez plans to leave at the end of the school year to focus on his acting career. Jiménez has already been cast in commercials with big companies such as Proactiv Solution and hopes to make acting his permanent career instead of making it simply hid side job.

“I won’t forget about everything here at FVHS. I’ve made great memories here with the other adult workers, students and the teachers. I’m a B4L, Baron for Life,” said Jiménez.
