On Thursday, the girls’ varsity golf team lost their winning streak to Edison High School as the Barons trailed with a final score of 200-192.

Despite falling short in the end, the Barons displayed strong performances throughout the match with exceptional showings from freshmen Madison Le and Milan Nguyen with scores of 37.

Le began the match with a birdie, which bode a promising start for the Barons as they were up by nine until the Chargers retaliated with a score of 36.

Although the match was a struggle for the Barons, the team didn’t let it deter their positivity throughout and after the game.

“Our streak is over, but I’m sure we’ll start a new one next week. Our team was great and we were all really supportive of each other. Everybody had positive vibes when we were struggling and we did struggle. We were disappointed, but it’ll all be fine,” said senior varsity captain Vivian Huynh.

The girls’ varsity golf team hopes to triumph following their close defeat in the home game next Tuesday against Corona Del Mar High School.
