Calling all artists!

The National Parent Teacher Association’s (PTA) Reflections Program is hosting their annual art contest. With the 2018-2019 theme being Heroes Around Me, the PTA board encourages students to look around at their life and recognize those everyday heroes – whether it be a family member, teacher, or friend.

Students can submit original works of art in either the dance choreography, film, literature, music, photography or visual arts category. The overall purpose of this art reflections program, which has been held for 50 years now, is to motivate students to “explore their own thoughts, feelings and ideas, develop artistic literacy, increase confidence and find a love for learning that will help them become more successful in school and in life” (Reflections, National PTA).
