On Tuesday, the varsity girls’ soccer team went head to head against Huntington Beach High School, ultimately losing with a score of 1-4.

The beginning of the game saw the Barons struggling on defense, and by the end of the first quarter Huntington Beach led by 1. The second quarter started off slow with the ball being passed back and forth. However, at 29 minutes left in the second quarter, Huntington Beach scored their second goal. The team continued to put up a good fight, but halfway through the quarter, Huntington Beach scored a third goal. Before the game’s end, the Barons were able to score one goal.

Despite the tough match, junior goalkeeper Bianca Fernandez described the team’s attitude as “Play one hundred percent, whistle to whistle no matter what. Fight for the ball, never give up.”
