Listening to your favorite songs has never been easier with Spotify’s new sorting feature.

Although your “Liked Songs” collection can be fun to look at, it is impractical for day-to-day use. Getting distracted by catchy lyrics during a study session or having a lofi beat play during your workout can be incredibly frustrating.

However, you’ll soon be able to filter your “Liked Songs” by mood and genre if you’ve liked more than 30 songs.

To use this feature, head to your Spotify Library, find your “Liked Songs”, and click on a mood or genre filter. When you want to switch mood or genres, tap the “X” next to the current filter to disable it and choose a new one.

“It’s perfect for my sad time hours,” sophomore Kyle Nguyen said.

Other Barons, like sophomore Giauy Ngo, think otherwise.

“I feel like that feature isn’t at all necessary, since most people already sort their songs into playlists,” Ngo said.

Spotify will introduce this feature to the United States in the coming weeks for Free and Premium listeners on Android and iOS.

Happy (or not) listening, Barons!
