This Thursday at Willowick Golf Course, the girls’ varsity golf team fell short against Los Alamitos High School in a 206-195 loss.

Despite an impending gap in their individual scores, the girls remained hopeful as fantastic shots were made by junior Milan Nguyen, who scored a total of 36, followed by freshman Kylie Phi with a score of 39. Unfortunately, the Lady Barons were handed their first Sunset League Championship loss as the team struggled to find consistency in their scores.

“I’m a bit sad that we lost,” Nguyen said. “But I know we’ll be able to perform better in the future and I hope we can pick ourselves up and improve.”

The girls seek to avenge their loss in their next match against Edison High School on Willowick Golf Course at 3 p.m.
