Field Events

The field events were equally as successful as the running events. The Barons coasted through their competition with great ease.

In pole vault, senior Adam Garrison’s 13-03.00 for the boys and sophomore Isabella Abrahams’s 10-00.00 for the girls placed them both first in the event.

Both the boys and girls performed spectacularly in shot put and discus throw as well. In the shot put, senior Nicolas Mendez’s 44-01.00 and junior Madison Dinh’s 29-08.00 placed them both first in the event. In the discus throw, junior Madison Dinh placed first again with a throw at 77-09.00 feet while senior Andrew Liu secured first for the boys with a distance of 129-06.0 feet.

Overall, although it wasn’t a scored meet, the Barons gave it their all.

“I think we did really well considering there were no points and the fact that there were many [personal records] today,” boys’ distance running coach Steven Knowles said. “It shows that we are on schedule and doing great.”
