We go to school and leave. Little time is spent admiring or engaging with the architecture of the school. We actually don’t think twice about it. But we should.

The following photos zoom in on the aspects of school we regularly miss. These random but unique places serve as a photographic tour of the greatest hits of the Fountain Valley High School (FVHS) campus—highlighting even the most mundane features and transforming them into fond memories of value.

Have some fun. Find where they are. And maybe while doing so, gain an appreciation for the idiosyncrasies that make this school our school.

Few levels of difficulty here. Let’s start off a little easy.

Is it a kiwi wearing a pillar as a hat? Or a skewed map of Great Britain? You decide.
Now, there’s a bit of lore with this one. Ask your teachers. They’ll get a big kick out of it. Or feel horror. Either one works.
Where am I Article
You should know where this is. Go, Barons!
Yum yum in my tum.
This one is obvious but will take some time to find. Have fun.

Yes, those were the easy ones. Now, time to tackle the medium level.

Hmm…where could a painted wall be?
Woot. Seniors know where this is. Or they don’t because they are trying to suppress the trauma.
Haha. Blue.
This one is hiding in plain sight. Bring the right shoes. I’d hate for you to get a splinter.
I’ve only been here once, but it’s a vibe. Watch out for caterpillar poop!

Now, onto the downright impossible.

It’s easy if you know where to look. But the thing is, not many people look.
Where in the world is a big 98 hanging around? Idk either.
This one’s a bit tricky. Take a lap.
Nature. It’s great. It’s everywhere. We have trees everywhere. Bushes everywhere. This one is special though. Keep your eyes peeled.
Okay…you’re just not going to get this one.

Whether you find all fifteen locations or only one, you’ll have something to take away. So the next time you find yourself strolling around school, you can look at the FVHS campus with a different lens—finding connections to the little things that would have never caught your attention in the first place.
