Junior Serene Moreno’s style changes on the daily. She is proud of that fact and often dresses up in a ‘feminine’ or ‘mask’ look.

Upon each ring finger, she wears a ring: “one of them is my grandmother’s ring which I adore and cherish every day. My other ring I won at a State Fair,” Moreno said.

On her wrists are little friendship bracelets that her friends have given her and “a hair tie because you always need a hair tie.” Moreno decides her outfits the night before, and today’s outfit consisted of a necklace, her jewelry, a croquette top and blue bell bottom jeans.

When asked about her aesthetic, junior Ashley Zabala said, “…honestly, [it] changes every day, but my friends always say that I have a Tumblr 2016 aesthetic.”

She wears supper ripped jeans, a ripped Angle’s t-shirt, a gold necklace, orange hair and bracelets. She likes the Angels and has owned the shirt for a long time, often wearing it to bed. When asked about how much effort she places into her outfit, she gave herself a 7/10, with her outfits changing according to the weather.

Hayden Nguyen describes himself as a “comfy type of person who can wear pajamas every day if [he] wants to.” He believes you can have a comfortable life without variety. Upon his wrists he wears two mementos, a bracelet from a friend when they went to Irvine Spectrum and a bracelet from his karate instructor who went to Ireland for a karate camp. His outfit consists of Levi jeans, Nike shoes bought online, a shirt he found in his car and blue hair.

“I would say dress the way that you want. It’s high school … No one really cares if you dress comfy or, like, out-dress everyone else [because] high school is to experiment what you want [and] what you want your life to be,” Nguyen said as a final statement about style.
