On Wednesday, boys soccer continued their season with their last league game against the Edison Chargers, winning with a score of 1-0.

The Barons started the game on attack towards the Charger net. Within the first 10 minutes, Joseph Soloman (’13) scored off the first goal of the game.

The boys fought a strong offense in the first half with some great runs by Marcello Ratinoff (’13) and several attempted shots by forwards, Isaac Garcia and Brett Nomura.

In the second half, the boys turned defensive, trying to stop Edison from their many free kicks towards the goal. Defensive players Gordi Grigus (’13) and Jake Tipple (’14) made some key saves to deflect the shots taken by their rivals.

Goalie Ryan Brown (’13) made 4 overall saves in the game.

After the game, Joseph Soliman said, “There was no doubt that we had to get the win today. Now we just have to keep training for the CIFs.”

With hard work and dedication, our Barons boys soccer have brought home enough wins to end league and continue their season into playoffs.

The boys also placed second in Sunset league to follow close to Los Alamitos.
