Students from the Huntington Beach School District showed off their talents at the annual District Wide Talent Show last Friday. The event was hosted by the Academy for the Performing Arts and held in the HBUHSD Auditorium.

Students from Huntington Beach, Fountain Valley, Marina, Ocean View, Westminster, and Edison High School tried out in early April. Each act had to remain under 3 minutes.

There were a total of 18 out of 41 acts that were from FVHS, ranging from singing to chants to Hawaiian gods and Tahitian dance.  147 students and 7 faculty members participated in the show.

Marina Villanueva (’13) said, “I enjoyed it, but it went a little long. I wish they had been slightly more selective about what got put in the show.”

Josh Lim (’13), Kevin Takeda (’16), Hana Rohfeld, and the 714 Smooth Sassy Boyz Juicy Mix all received awards.
