Varsity girls golf was defeated by the Marina Vikings, 236-284 on Thursday.

The girls are crushed by this defeat but hope to gain other victories as the season progresses.

Many of the players believe that this was a crippling loss, especially with such a short season and therefore a small period of time for the team to peak again. Compared to other sports seasons and how many games they have, the players don’t think there is time to recuperate, but one wise student has hopes.

“I feel that if we put more effort and passion into golf during practice and on matches then we’d do better,” said Vivienne Nguyen (’15).

With seven more matches to come, the girls plan to pull together for a great season. The girls will be playing against Edison at Mile Square Park next Tuesday.
