Adventure through OC over Spring Break

With spring break approaching, you may be clueless about what to do or where to go. Well, here are some places and activities you can do so that your vacation is filled to the maximum with fun!

1.PACIFIC CITY- Head on down to this shopping center located near the Huntington Pier to enjoy a day of shopping and eating. Stroll down Pacific City to enjoy the amazing shops while grabbing a delicious bite as you go.

This plaza is filled with restaurants of different cuisine ranging from gourmet sandwiches to fresh caught fish. They also have the famous drinkery Lemonade so you can quench your thirst after all of your walking. Pacific City offers pop-up mini events that only last a short period which contain the perfect activities that capture the So Cal vibe.

 2. ANAHEIM PACKING DISTRICT- The Anaheim packing district is a quaint little shopping center  filled with great places to eat, shop, and explore.

The two story indoor plaza is divided into three sections: the Packard Building, Packing House, and Farmer’s Park. The Farmer’s park offers a wide, grassy field with gardens that makes it the perfect spot for the Sunday Farmer’s Market and other events. The buildings have a bright and scenery vibe that make it the perfect home for their food court and shops.

3. THOUSAND STEPS BEACH- Spend some time with the sun at this beach in Laguna Beach.

 The multiple stairs at the entrance allow for a nice view of the beaches, oceans,trees, vines, and some cliffs.

There’s opportunities to body surf, surf, and play volleyball. You can even discover caves at Thousand Steps Beach! There are caves both at the south end and north end of the beach. Visit this intimate beach to watch the beautiful waves and appreciate nature before you go back to school!

4. SLAPFISH-

This Huntington beach restaurant is the perfect joint for your fresh and delicious seafood dishes. Their menu contains healthy and simple meals like their classic fish tacos or the grilled fish salad. And if you’re feeling for something more high glass and savory, take a look at their lobster rolls and burger. Not to mention, the prices are reasonably affordable so make sure to stop by Slapfish when you have the chance!

5. VEGAN NIRVANA- If you’re a vegan, then this is the perfect place for you! Looking at their menu, you’ll see a unique variety of choices that includes an imitation of meat or seafood, like one of their famous dishes, “Deep Sea Meditation,” fried vegan shrimp. Their vegan fish tacos are a must that foodies rave about nonstop. The robust atmosphere consists of a space alien theme to coincide with their fun and tasty dishes.

 

6. GO HIKING- Take a break from technology and go out to enjoy nature, getting fit while you’re at it. Take a couple of friends with you so you can chat and listen to music to make your day an energizing blast. For some places to hike, head to Crystal Cove State Park or Turtle Rock Viewpoint Trail in Irvine. Crystal Cove offers an impressive view of the beach so you can breath in the fresh, salty air while burning off those extra calories. Turtle Rock leads you up to the cliffs and allows you to oversee the city giving you a magnificent view especially if you go at night with all of the lights turned on.
