With summer just around the corner, many student are in the market for jobs. Summer job hunting can be a stressful and time consuming process if you’re not looking in the right places. Check out this diverse list for information about a variety of jobs at several local restaurants, stores and businesses hiring in the area this summer.

Fountain Valley

Leslie’s Poolmart Sales Associate at $12.25 an hour                                                                       

Join a retail team of pool professionals in learning about maintaining pool and spas with duties such as stocking shelves, conducting sales, and controlling inventory in a fun summer work environment. Benefits include competitive compensation, extensive paid training, and flexible scheduling

Ralphs: Sales Associate at $12.00 an hour                                                                                           

As a member of Ralphs front-end team, you’ll assist in daily tasks such as cashier clerk and courtesy clerk with the opportunity to interact with customers. You’ll also participate in shelving stock, managing the Kids Korner, and shipping.

Tuesday Morning: Sales Associate                                                                                                          

Become a member of Tuesday Morning’s crew and participate in duties such as customer service, sales, and cashier clerk. You must be friendly and willing to service a positive shopping experience for customers. Deliver prompt and friendly service to Tuesday Morning guests; handle customer concerns professionally and respectfully.

Westminster

Charlotte Russe: Sales Associate                                                                                                        

Work in retail at this seasonal position at Charlotte Russe in Westminster Mall. You’ll get the opportunity to work in the fashion industry and working with merchandise, inventory stocking, and the sales floor.

Journey’s: Sales Associate                                                                                                                      

Become a footwear sales associate at this part time position at the Journey’s Westminster Mall location. Job duties includes following current trends, knowledge of shoe brands, and merchandise management. Enjoy benefits such as competitive pay and discounts as well.

Huntington Beach

Moon Valley Nursery: Planting Crew at 11.50 – $12.00 an hour                                                          

Work this summer as a part of the crew at a growing nursery and get the opportunity to engage with customers, assisting in transportation of plants and trees, maintaining the grounds, and watering services. Work outdoors at a nursery to gain experience in gardening and plants.

Huntington Beach: Lifeguard                                                                                                                    

Apply to work on a crew as a cadet this summer at the beach with this job opportunity. The program is highly selective and requires individuals to pass training. Enjoy countless benefits while working at the beach this summer as a lifeguard.

Costa Mesa

OC Fair: Brand Ambassador, Booth manager, Tickets at $15 an hour                                                  

Have a blast this summer working at the OC Fair with a variety of jobs including host, entertaining and greeting the public. This temporary position is in a fast paced environment that entails engaging with customers, managing costumes, props, and being entertaining to fair-goers.
