On Monday, the Barons faced Edison High School in a difficult game and lost 1-3. This game was a challenge for the Barons but they fought hard.

The first set moved quickly, consisting of rallies between the Barons and the Chargers. They tried hard to keep the ball up and win the point, but Edison would hit impossible down balls to return.

As the ball moved around the court, Edison kept the Barons on their feet as they hit difficult balls to return over the net.

Despite their efforts and hard work, the Barons lost the first set to Edison.

During the second set, many double touches were called by the refs for the Barons which caused them to lose a majority of their points.

As well as losing points from double touches, the Barons struggled to return the ball.

Even though the Barons played hard, the Chargers won the second set of the game.

Starting off the third set, the Barons were prepared to let no mistakes lose them any points.

Throughout the set, they worked together to not only get the ball over the net, but to hit the ball down onto Edison

This set highlighted the Barons communication, hard work and technique. As the set went on, the Barons made few mistakes and won the third set against the Chargers.

By the final set, the Barons were determined to win to get a chance to beat Edison.

Despite the Barons’ fight, Edison hit aggressive down balls onto the Barons once more. Edison aggressively blocked and returned everything that was hit their way.

Edison barely hit any side-outs during the game. The Barons also hit the balls just on the edge of the out-of-bounds line.

Eidson won the final set, which meant a loss for the Barons, 1-3.

“My expectation for our team going into the game was to play our hardest like we always do and always have the mindset to beat the team on the other side of the net. Although we didn’t beat Edison or go into five sets with them, we were able to win a set and go into four sets with them,” senior Anton Pham said.

Despite the challenges thrown at them, the Barons did win a set against the Chargers and will continue to work and improve.
